Peter, you are a gentleman and a scholar!
That's what I thought – separate scenes.
As for the Content Manager, that's my doh moment. I didn't stop to think that everything in there is shared across all projects, but of course it is.
Thanks for your time.

Hi...

It is always recommended to create your overall project in "scenes" where each scene is saved as a separate CTA4 project. Trying to do everything in one large project will often lead to the project becoming difficult to manage as the file size may impact the performance of your computer. It is also easier to edit and tweak individual scenes rather than editing one large project.

Unfortunately I'm not really understanding your question about sharing assets between scenes. You should currently have all your characters, props, motions and other scene assets saved in your Content Manager. Then it is simply a case of loading these assets into each scene project as you build them. Then you would render each project to video ready to transfer into AE.

Hi,
Some advice, please. Never used CTA for a project, so looking forward to it.
I have a large explainer scoped out with direction, etc. The plan is to export the completed project into AE and render from there after some tweaks.
Here's my question/s:
As the CTA project is large and complex, I was thinking of splitting it into scenes, exporting each into AE and then combining the comps into a final AE project. Does that make sense (and do-able)?
If so, how do I share assets between my CTA scenes (custom characters, props, sfx, etc.)?
Thanks chaps.
