Hi,
Do people offer services like bone rigging or blender espression face mapping?
It seems my characters from Poser/Daz don't always play nice with CC4 or I8.
I don't want to learn how to become a character or expression builder, not now anyway. I just want to tell a story and animate.

So, is this a thing? Do people offer character services where they will rig your .fbx character?
Is this allowed? Not trying to violate any copyrights, just would like to use content I already purchased.

Thanks!

Hi first of all  you should drop Poser from your pipeline if you plan on having viable exporters& Bridges other programs.
The lot ,who currently owns Poser, has no interest in assisting anyone in using those various/sub par poser rigs in any program except Poser.
Also there are video tutorial on preparing  original rigs in blender for import into  CC4.
Not for the inexperienced

Which characters are you having trouble with? If you have a character type supported by Transformer all the work should be done for you when you import. You won't have to worry about rigging or expression face mapping with Transformer.

Thanks. It was a character called Goblinz, a Poser character.
Others have said Poser characters dont work well.
I was hoping not to lose all the content I've accumulated over the years. Props are okay, but characters other than DAZ V4 and M4 rarely work.

I'll keep trying. I'm new to this.

Daz started building character bases to a UNIFORM STANDARD with the “Millenial “generation (M4/V4)
and continued on with genesis line.

A base character with a predictable rig setup are easily supported by third party content venders or other programs wishing to import them intact.

Even Reallusion realized the folly of Chasing after the various DAZ Genesis iterations that broke the 3DX profiles
and moved to an intelligent shape projection system to “copy” Daz genesis onto Native CC Avatars, with CC3 pipeline.

Old legacy Poser figure ,from third parties, are built to whatever exotic standard their creators chose.
and typically receive little to zero content support from vendors other than the figures creator.

And frankly the same is true for the current lot under Bondware's ownership.
various third party figures built to different standards which is why poser is not relevant to the major  3DCC or Game engine users.

I understand and ended up buying a goblin from the content store.
I also made a goblin using CC4, but it's hard to find clothes that look "goblin-esque."

Do people here just make their own outfits or modify clothes to fit?

Thanks!
