Hi, I was hoping this bug would be fixed soon but it keeps happening. In various iClone projects, I try to change the position of some characters, but doing so sometimes causes unexpected situations.
The funniest is that I select the character and move it but the clothes don't.

I have developed some of these projects in iClone 7 and assumed that the problem was related to exporting them to iClone 8,
but I have completely redesigned the scene in iClone 8 and the same thing happens.
I designed the characters in CC3 but I have edited them again in CC4 applying the facial profile CC4 plus and I have even reapplied the Skin Weights to the clothes and
I have repeated the conformation step in CC4. I then transfer the character to iClone 8 and it seems to work fine.

However, if I save the project and open it later, the problem repeats. The only way to fix it is to substitute the character again, sending it from CC4.
Today I have updated the iClone from the Reallusion Hub and I have 8.01.0531.1, I expected this problem to be corrected, but it still persists.
I'also ve tried turning clothes physics on and off, but it doesn't fix the problem.

You may have the bake cloth selected in the project panel.
Right-click on the cloth and select "Remove Vertex Animation".

Yes, thanks Rampa. I assumed something like that would be related. I find it curious that it does not happen in iClone 7 but it does in 8.
In any case, I have verified what you indicate. In the project panel, there is an option in Global Physics Settings, which I have configured in PhysXengine.
Also Rigid Body and Soft Cloth are active, the latter with the Bake animation option selected. If I disable any of these options the behavior doesn't change.

However, switching the simulation to "Bullet Engine" and then back to the "PhysXEngine" fixes the problem. Thank you. I was looking a solution for this issue.

Specifically, it is the "bake Animation" box checked for the cloth that is causing that. So you can un-check it or just delete the cloth animation every time. :) Most systems can run the cloth fine in realtime, and don't really need to bake it.

It is actually working as it should. If the cloth animation is baked, the cloth position and animation are part of the clothing, which becomes a separate object that is no longer attached to the body.

From your screen captures it seems that you moved the character's body after the simulation. In that case, the clothing will stay where it was, unless you simulate again.
