There is some CC clothing in the store I would like for a 3D model in CT8.
Is it possible to export from CC4 and import into CT8? or how?

I am creating a narrator for instructional material. Any good clothing and hair repositories for CT8 -- I am specifically looking for shirts and realistic male and female hair.

Thx

Unfortunately neither CC4, or CC3 before it, can export to CrazyTalk 8. CrazyTalk 8 is an older product that was released many years ago and it was only compatible with characters and clothing from Character Creator 2 and iClone 6. The current file formats used in CC4 are incompatible with CT8.

So if you are looking to work with a 3D narrator for your projects you may like to consider iClone 8 plus Character Creator 4 with the Headshot Plug-in. Having this setup will allow you to create characters from a single photo and then animate them with full lip-sync and realistic facial expressions.

Peter

I trust you understand the analogy: bringing a Ferrari to a go-cart track.

I only recently purchased CT8 and was able to create a reasonable likeness. But hair and clothing  accessories are exceedingly limited -- especially for a program that was Reallusion's premier product for many years.

Did Reallusion remove CT products from its store to push iClone and CC?

Thx

Thank you for the feedback.

CrazyTalk was a fantastic piece of software but unfortunately it reached the end of its life. We had effectively done as much as we could in the talking head genre.

You may recall that from CrazyTalk 1 to 7 it only created 2D Heads from photos. In CrazyTalk 8 we tried something different by adding 3D Heads, but there were limitations due to 3D heads needing separate clothing, hair and accessories (something 2D Heads don't need).

So it is not a case of discontinuing CrazyTalk to push iClone and Character Creator, but as can be seen in the promo videos, iClone  8 and CC4 offer so much more in the 3D department and the results are leaps ahead.

For me personally I still have CT8 installed and use it for 2D Head creation often, but for 3D character creation CC4 and iClone far exceed anything possible in CT8.
