Hi all,
I'm doing some mocap where I only want to use the movements of my left arm and hand and merge it into an existing animation where the character is sitting. In IC7, you could do something like this if you were using MixMoves. but not regular animations (at least to my knowledge). Is there a way to do this in IC8? So far the closest I have come to getting what I want is to record an animation of the full body and sample all parts. Then I do a separate animation for the arm and hand, and sample all of those parts. Then I copy and paste the sampled arm/hand animation and paste it onto the first motion track.
I would love to be able to simply drag and drop one animation track onto the other and have a popup dialog ask me how I want to merge them (ie pick the bones on the new track and set their merge weights from 0 - 100, if that makes sense). At the moment I can only mocap my upper body movements using the Quest 2 and Glycon VR. But in my animations the lower part of the avatar is important also, even it they are just standing idle.
By the end of this week I hope to be able to do full body motion caption  by adding the HTC Vive v3.0 trackers for my waist and legs, but even then, the ability to merge motion clips would be a huge boon going forward.
