@animagic BTW, I needed to set the scale factor to 0.01 to get the right size.
Don't wont to be off topic but curiously I had to do the same thing in Unity after exporting from CC4. It never happened before. Perhaps it has nothing to do with Blender... My understanding is that it has to do with the unit of measurement of the application. In iClone it's 1 cm and I believe in Blender it's 1 meter (100 cm). Maybe it's the same in Unity.

jjdigitalgraphics (5/14/2022) All that said, the USD files are tiny compared to the MI files. I may just go the Omniverse route.Omniverse is still considered a prototype, but one nice thing about it is that you can combine USD files in an Omniverse scene, meaning that you could combine animated content from different sources.

Okay, so I bought IC8 and exported a USD file. The switch camera was animated, One of my objects was animated on the y axis, but not rotating. More experiments to come

I don't know how autocorrect changed Omniverse into iPhone in my last reply. Phones were not made for computing.

From what I read, any particles done in Omniverse will have to be redone from scratch. But we'll see.

jjdigitalgraphics (5/7/2022) Blender imports USD files too, and I'm wondering if I might want to try that route instead of Omniverse, because Omniverse is subject to change.
If you don't mind, could you try importing an animated USD file into Blender and see what happens? If I import an USD file into Blender I only get the mesh without materials or animation. BTW, I needed to set the scale factor to 0.01 to get the right size. I'm not that well-versed in Blender, so I'm probably doing something wrong, but I had the various import options enabled (materials, animation, etc.).

There is a particle system in OV. It has some room for improvements, but I think NVidia will get there. Have you seen any of this?
