Hello! I've had certain success importing some 3DS models into 3DXchange. However, some say that the application does not support this file type. So please, what gives? I know it does support 3DS, because, believe it or not, it's the best format I've experienced to bring accurate stuff over to iClone7. So, what's the secret/

Kind regards,
Frank

Hi Frank

3DS is a very old format which was originally developed by Autodesk for the old DOS versions of 3D Studio (which became 3DS Max).

We have supported 3DS models in 3DXchange for a long time but sadly this old format will no longer be supported in iClone 8 and CC4. However, you can of course continue to use 3DXchange to convert any models you need converting for as long as you wish.
