hello everyone.
i would like information on how i could go about making a morphing terrain for use in ic7 and cc3. i "know" how to make the terrain, i know how to make the morphs, but i dont know how i would bring the concept together for ant prop for use in the programs.
so far ive been able to bring in my items/props thru 3dxc and export them out into the props folder for the programs, but i wanted to make a -morphing- terrain. i tried using the morph creator in ic7, but i must be doing something wrong, it tells me the face count is different. its not =/
im not even sure if thats the correct way to go about it, but no clue why it tells my my face count is different when i try to load the morph file in morph creator.
any help would be GOLDEN, many thanks =)

You are not doing anything wrong except the props geometry might have loose vertices or some other inconsistencies, which is no-no for generating morphs.
Number one rule for evaluating mesh (any mesh - cloth props, accessories...): https://forum.reallusion.com/FindPost509914.aspx
So your props probably need fixing first outside of RL apps before you can generate any morphs for them.

Here is. I put together a quick demo for one way of evaluating and fixing geometry.
First, I created a loose vertex and then fixed it, demonstrating an outcome before and after in Morphs Creator:

funny you mentioned that post, i only saw it moments after posting my thread...
well, i cant say if the mesh had errors or not according to your post/video, by the time i got there i had already tried working from an export from morph creator, and that worked. i do have a mesh with multiple morphs all ready to go, but they wont work, and im certain the "problem" is ic7s handling, as the morphs have worked in other programs (daz/poser), but thats ok, i now have a -starter- mesh to work from, but even after all of that, i want to see/learn/understand the ENTIRE process of making a morphing prop and saving it as an ic7 item.
suppose i have my starting mesh and several morph objects on hand. what are the steps involved?

i get as far as getting the morph "in", but its only adjustable thru the animation puppet?!?

Exactly, morphs are animated from Motion > Morphs Animator panel.
To animate on the timeline you need to enable Morph section from prop drop-down.
And then tweak values for timeline animation.

BTW if you are importing props with morphs through 3DX and see them in Face Setup section, then morphs would appear in iClone just fine.
The only additional step, would be to sent that prop from iClone to Morph Creator (where morphs would be automatically applied) and send back to iClone.

Why not? Did you try? Once morph is created it stays with the prop permanently. Save, reapply.. etc.

save the prop with the morphs. that actually never crossed my mind, LOL i thought the morph was "pushed" into the prop, when i would load it, it wouldnt be there...
