Hello, I'm creating clothing in zbrush and trying to apply to character in CC3. I'm using goz to go back and forth. The dress looks ok in T-pose which is the default position I used when making the dress. When trying different poses, the dress breaks (pictures below). Confirm mesh doesn't fix it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? T-pose looks ok Different pose messes things up. Thanks, Kalyan

There is something called skin weights. You need to select Apply Skin Weights from the Modify panel first, so the cloth will follow the body. I'm no expert, but here is a section of the manual that will help: https://manual.reallusion.com/Character_Creator_3/ENU/3/Content/Character_Creator_3/3/08_Cloth/Creating_Custom_Clothes_OBJ.htm

and this is also not an exact science - for example I recently started making my own custom t-pose to match the motions I plan to do on my character - so if I plan to use my character to do something like construction where they are constantly shoveling with arms down, then it's better to transfer skin weights in more of an A pose otherwise it looks like an extreme deformation going from a t pose weight matching to an extreme a pose position when animating. There is no exact solution so you may have to fiddle with a few settings and even consider adding or decreasing the face count on the mesh for more or less detail. it's to your own best interest to learn all available options so you know what tool to use that best fits your goal, and on top of that familiarize yourself with cc's quirks, ie - after x amount of changes, I'll have to restart the program to flush my memory when it begins to act like this, which does often happen especially when experimenting with many settings... ..also consider, a fashion artist may even want to rig a coat with bones to make look like the coat is blowing in the wind for a simple 1 frame render - or someone else may want to render a mesh animation in marvelous designer for a more realistic look - or someone else may want to use soft cloth physics for a live action shot.

AMAZING! Thank you so very much both of you! That greatly improved the dress. Obviously, the dress itself needs some work, but I can take it from here. Thanks, Kalyan
