Hi

I developed a number of lip sync clips for use in CT8 using a CT content pack I purchased.
With the demise of CT8, I need to migrate these to CA4.
2 Questions

Can I import CT8 content | projects into CA4 in some way?
Or do I need to think about moving all of this to a CC3 | IC7 grade.  I already have some experience with these. I am currrently learning CA4 using the trial edition.

Hi...

Unfortunately due to the different file formats used you can't open CrazyTalk 8 projects or other content in Cartoon Animator 4.

Deciding to move to iClone and Character Creator is really only something you can decide. I would say that if you primarily work with 3D heads in CrazyTalk 8 then moving to iClone/CC will be a good move. This is because iClone and CC now have much more advanced ways of creating 3D heads (using the Headshot Plug-in) and creating more realistic lip-sync using AccuLips.

However, if you primarily work with 2D heads in CrazyTalk then moving to Cartoon Animator will probably be the best way to go. Creating 2D heads from photos and animating them in CTA4 is done in a very similar way to CrazyTalk 8 so it shouldn't take too long to adapt to the new software.
