With so many versions of iAvatars out there now (iC4, iC5, iC6, CC2, CC3, CC3+, CC_DH, and upcoming CC4) it would be nice to have some sort of indication, either in the filename or thumbnail, of which gen each character is based on.

In CC the character generation is listed depending on which one is loaded in a scene as shown below in the Avatar panel:

CC1:


CC3:


CC3+:


For most of the characters in CC the generation is listed in the thumbnail, or the folder name also:



For iClone almost all the default generation characters are stored in separate named folders such as G3, G5, G6 and CC. G1, G2, G3 and G5 characters can't, at the moment anyway, be loaded in CC so don't have a generation tag.
