Hello! I have tried imported some fbx assets (also tried using obj with same result) and when I finish setup of the asset, I try to add to my custom content, but it is including my characters body, so when , for instance, I have a helmet and save that, it adds the body with it. This is happening with any item I try. I'm using create->accessory from the Modify menu to import the item. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You just need to be in the right content to add. IOW, on the content tab, go to where you want it stored (for a helmet go to the props tab rollout, and then choose "head"). Once you store it in the right place it will only store it as you want it (otherwise it just stores it as a project, which includes everything).

Thanks for helping! I'm brand new to CC3. So I have tried again. I have a helmet , set "Attach to "CC_Base_head" under modify. In Content tab, I have "accessory" and under that 'Head' selected , in the Custom tab. When I have only the helmet selected and hit the '+" button, it adds the body with the helmet in the Custom Head folder. :( I'm missing something here :)

The icon is a snapshot from the screen. If you load the helmet you just saved, it will be just the helmet.

And you can replace the snapshot with just the helmet - just uncheck the eye next to the figure (it will make everything invisible but you then turn the eye back on for only the helmet) in the scene tab. Zoom into the helmet (press the "F" hotkey) and with the item you saved selected go to the right-click menu and "replace snapshot" (or whatever the heck it says).
