Hello,

Does anyone know if iClone 8 will utilize RTX GPU or at least multiple GTX GPUs. I don't like Omniverse and I also have much content without an export license. I know iClone and CC well, I like them both and want to stay in them, so I sure hope they are writing for RTX! It is overdue.

Would appreciate any info

Thanks!

I have the same system as Mike and it is indeed quiet. Your system is the same, except for the newer processor, so it will do nicely.

I have added 2 4GB SSD drives to to my system (bought separately) for content, renders, and stuff like that. You can install those yourself quite easily.

Great. Thank you so much for all your help. And by the way, the only reason why my specs are good is because of you.  👊✌️

I was about to buy a more expensive wrong computer with the wrong graphics card. So I really can’t thank you enough for avoiding me that horrendous mistake.

Cheers 👊✌️

Other than the monitor (I have an Alienware 38" Curved Monitor) your specs are better than mine, so I would say you have a very good machine for running iClone <g>.

Hello, based on all your recommendations, here is the Alienware computer I am about to buy.To use with iClone.
Should I change anything? Are there any red flags that could cause conflicts? Besides the price obviously. This is way expensive but I believe in "buy once cry once."

My system is whisper quiet - ask Job (he has the exact same system.  If both of us are fine I wouldn't worry about it).

Remember - a LOT of folks are using those machines for gaming machines, which put a HUGE strain on the GPU and internals.  iClone does not do that - the only time I even hear the fan is when I'm in the middle of a render (so if your wife is bothered don't render when she's asleep :>).

As I said here (a foot away from the box) I can't even tell that it's on.

Thank you so much for helping me out. I have looked into the Alienware specs that you have and it looks awesome. However, the only problem, is that I’ve seen many reviews mentioning the very high noise and thermals. Noise is a huge factor for me, since my wife is a very light speed sleeper.😜

I’ve seen many reviews mention that the system is amazing, however the internal stock fans and cooling systems are inadequate. Have you had this problem? And if so,how have you dealt with it?

Thank you for helping me out. I’ve looked into Alienware with the specs you have. It looks awesome. My only worry is that they seem to be extremely noisy. Noise is a huge factor for me as my wife is a light sleeper.😜

Are there any solutions to get the noise and thermals down?

From what I’ve read, the Alienware reviews say their stock fans and cooling systems are inadequate. Have you had this issue?

As Job says - do NOT get a Quadro card.  The 3090 is by far the best GPU for iClone (and for most other things as well).
