Good day everyone, I hope that this topic has not been raised before and I have overlooked it.
I just tried to export my character for Unity as a .fbx file, but then there always came the error message "FBX export failed." I then also tried through to see if I could download, for example, a standard character (say without hair etc) - this worked without any problems. I then continued to test my way through and the message only came up every time I added an object from the Hair Builder. I also own the export version, so at least it can't be that. I hope someone can help me.

Hi...

Try going to Help > Activate Purchased Items in Character Creator. Once complete try again to export to FBX.

If the problem still persists, try selecting Help > Activate Entire Library and see if that resolves the problem. Note: This may take a little while so please allow time for it to complete.

Thanks for the answer! But it still doesn't work. I still get the same error message.

I tested some more things... It even doesn't work with "normal" assets like the "Long Hair.ccHair" - but it works with the "Bun.ccHair."
I have the latest version of CC (3.43). Maybe that could be important too.

This may not be your problem, but its worth ruling out:

The only time I've ever seen this error message on FBX export is when my C:\ drive was full (or almost full). CC3 writes everything it exports to a temporary location first, by default to somewhere on the C:\ drive, if that's full then it fails.

You can tell CC3 where to put it's temp files in the preferences. It's worth a shot.

Thanks for your help too! But it still doesn't work. I've changed the temporary location and also deleted some things from my computer, so that I have more space (meanwhile more than 40 GB), but it still won't let me download .fbx files with certain hair.
