The most important difference would be between an RTX 3070 and an RTX 3090; more VRAM (important for large scenes) and more performance. I have always used Intel CPUs and have no complaints there. What is important also is to get sufficient system RAM. My latest system has 128 GB.

Serhan, I been building computers since 40GB hardrives were +$600 etc., in the early 1980's. The top CPU's were always +$1000. I've only managed once to have the fastest CPU when the Ryzen 9-3900x came out. That lasted 3 months. I've been fighting not to buy the 5950, since I can used the same motherboard. But the 3900 has been fast enough to run my DAW, as many channels I needed so far, without sweating. Go to PassMark Software, look up benchmarks, and you will get the speeds of every hardrive, CPU, Memory, video cards, plus the prices. When I did my last iClone projects, I was using a intel i6800k, because I could put 128 GB of RAM on the Motherboard. I use a lot of avatars, and most people on here they would tell you that CPU and above 16GB of RAM was a waste, but I never listened to them. They would only brag about their 1080 video card they spent $100 for. I noticed the more memory I added the more avatars I could and motions I could add to a scene. I'm not a Intel, guy. I also built Cyrus, AMD and who gives me the most for my money. When I asked Peter what was RL using in their computers, and he wouldn't tell me and then he lied, to me about them changing mp4 encoder on a later upgrade. I've been making Blu~Rays and HD videos before iC4, and my eyes and size of the same project setting were decreased, I stopped asking him for any tech info. If I wanted the best stuff for my iClone and my music studio (maybe overkill?). And I'd have no problem spending that money, and I do because it would take me up to 3 months to put it back, I'd get me the Ryzen Threadripper 3970X for about $3000, which is twice as fast as my 3900x, 256 GB of RAM, not the most expensive ones, and a good motherboard, look at the PassMark benchmarks and prices on a video car you like, which are crazy now, and if you can get one. If you don't want to spend Threadripper money. Look into the Ryzen 5950 or 5900. I recommend water cooling. One thing I hate about intel, every time I want to upgrade my CPU, I have to buy a new motherboard also. I have a AMD 3900X CPU and I can buy a AMD 5950X, and just swap it out. Everyone says you can see a difference, but I have no problem with my 3900X. When I had my i6800k, it took me over 8 hours, or I went to work and came back home to render some scenes, to mp4 format. The same scenes rendered with my 3900X takes like 20 minutes. If you go to Youtube (rioleo8) and look most of my iClone videos, all finished with my i6800k and 128 GB of RAM. With the processor I had before that and a max of 64 GB of RAM. I couldn't get as many avatars or add motions to avatars without freezing. I've never crashed, it just took minutes to get to the next frames. The best bet is to go to Passmark, pick out you CPU, Video card, memory. Then later your motherboard, power supply, and it must be able to run all this 800W? A watercooler, and I never overclock. I never want to use fluids in electronic stuff, but I wanted to powerful CPU. Get the best bang for your money, do your homework. Almost everyday I go to Passmark, to see what's the best components out there, not just who's name is on it. Right now AMD has the best CPU's, not that I say so. The pro's do, that test both. Go to Youtube and see them rate the CPU's. Good luck with your new computer parts, and projects. I forgot, last April, I made the; "Happy Birthday Taylor" video with the 3900X processor. I already made the club, so all I had to do was add the people. I only had 2 hours to do it so my other granddaughter could post it. There was no hesitation while animating, but I did not have the time to add more or add animation to everything I wanted, or edit things I didn't like. No problems at all. I remember when I could only put 4-6 people on my jet plane because iClone had a memory limit.
Home built; ASRock X570 Pro 4, AMD Ryzen 9-5950X CPU, AMD RADEON RX6900XT, 16GB video card, 131GB of RAM.

I'm no expert when it comes to various hardware specs - but there are a lot of folks here who are. You might want to start your own thread and ask this question as a topic heading that will attract those people.

Thank you for your interest. do you think i should buy ram with ddr4 32gb ram in my system? or should i buy ram with 12th i7 processor, motherboard, new cooler and new generation ddr5? Is it worth collecting a new system with the 12th generation amd ddr5 ram? or you already have a 3090 video card, would you say that if you install 32 gb ddr4 ram, you will get the best performance? I'm very curious about your opinion as you use the best system

RAM might help (as a rule you are underpowered - I'd want at least 32GB and more is better) but also remember the iClone has other dependencies that cause issues. In particular, anytime you have a scene with more than a few dozen objects, no matter HOW much (or little) memory they use the system will grind to a halt. You can help with this issue by combining objects (so if you have, say, a house with three dozen separate objects just merge them all into one).

When using the 3090, I realized that I have limits too. I can never fill the ram of my 3090 card, but when my scene gets too big, stutters happen. When I look at my system by pressing windows+g, the cpu and ram go up to 70 percent. do you think i should upgrade ram and cpu? Or is the 3090's power insufficient? my system is 8700k. ram is also 16gb.

That's just MY system - it appears at the bottom of any posts I make and is not specific to this topic. So it's not meant to be "this is what you NEED" in any way shape or form. Clearly a lot of folks, myself included, use iClone with lesser specifications. I have a machine with a Titan XP card (with 12GB) that ran iClone very well indeed. Prior to that I had a 1080 card and then even a 1070 card. All of them ran iClone just fine... with the caveat they did have their own limitations. And even the 3090 has limitations - 3D processing takes a TON of power, in every single aspect of a machine. So, of course, the best machine will run iClone the best. And lesser machines won't be as good. But you have to do what you have to do, and even on some of the very slowest machines as long as you have patience and can deal with the limitations you can amazing things. The OP here wanted to know what sorts of problems they would have and, in general, the lack of GPU memory is the biggest constraint. I'll repeat again - iClone itself uses 4GB of GPU memory just for an empty scene. Anything you add to your scene takes up more. When I only had 8GB of GPU memory I was careful not to have more than a couple of avatars in my scene at any one point in time. I *could* put more - but it would slow my machine down to a crawl and often cause crashes I could not easily workaround. Those are just the things you deal with. And the better cards WILL be available - best estimate now is this spring. In the meantime just do the best you can and cut your projects down to a more reasonable size and you'll be fine.

Now I reda "Kellytoons "post at the bottom are pc specs. Alienware Aurora R12, Win 10, i9-119000KF, 3.5GHz CPU, 128GB RAM, RTX 3090 (24GB), Samsung 960 Pro 4TB M-2 SSD, TB+ Disk space As Iam with i7 and 16gb ram + only 4gb gpu gtx780m No wonder I am struggling and often wanted to shoot myself. If Kellytoons system is minimum for good performance I am going to have to up my budget !!! Thats after winning the lottery - ha ha

Your budget will determine what to get and you have already noted that an i9 plus 3090gpu will blow you out. Me to -I am restling with the same problem but at the end of the day you need as much as you can afford for processor speed / ram amount / gpu memory and speed / obviously fast SSD and possibly the OS. I read that the upcoming Windows Eleven will manage data in a different way leading to faster processing so you might hang on for that or at least reserach it. I'm finding the Nvidea 3680 is way expensive so am not even contemplating the 3090. None of my local shops seem to have it anyway in keeping with an apparent shortage of chips around the world. I would sacrifie a bit of system memory for more gpu memory and performance.say 32 gb instead of 64 or 128. attached table maybe of some use to you

Let me be more specific - iClone now requires (we finally learn) 4GB of GPU RAM just to operate. IOW, a blank scene requires that much. One character (detailed) usually runs around 2GB more. A set (usually) isn't much so I wouldn't worry about that. But for 8GB of GPU ram? You are unlikely to be able to have more than 2 characters (unless you are willing to wait while the memory swaps to disc and/or work with substitutes and not the real characters, etc. etc.). If I had only 8GB of GPU I'd shoot myself in the head (no, seriously :>).
