This face was actually from a sketch.

But what are the ethics of using random sketches to create random faces? Does the source face require credit?

Perfectly random face from a random sketch on the internet.

Nice results! Just like there are AI programs for photographic images for faces, they may also exist for sketches. That would circumvent any copyright problems. But, I think it would be hard to associate the original sketch with the 3D model anyway.

One question: how do you get the skin color?

That is most interesting. I knew headshot works with 3D scan unwraps, but never tried drawings. While there is still some manual work to do (because headshot would not match exaggerated parts like large eyes and lips), I noticed it is a lot easier to match drawing sketch than the photo. Probably because it is simplified and lack of details keeps me focused on specific face part while I am trying to replicate it with mesh edit and morphs. @animagic just apply any overall skin and makeup

I actually did this early on when Headshot first came out, to try and make some cartoons. What I found is the less the face is "cartoony" the better it works, which kind of defeated the purpose of my idea. But some came out pretty close:
Alienware Aurora R16, Win 11, i9-149000KF, 3.20GHz CPU, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090 (24GB), Samsung 870 Pro 8TB, Gen3 MVNe M-2 SSD, 4TBx2, 39" Alienware Widescreen Monitor Mike "ex-genius" Kelley
