Once you convert to CC3+, the polycount should improve; it is the same for all CC characters of a specific generation. Beyond that you can apply Smooth Mesh. Edge stuff you do, by the way. Always nice to see a fresh look done with iClone!

That worked out for me.:-) However, the body is much more low poly. Have to find out how i can improve that.

There is an additional iClone 7 Bonus pack. Did you install that? Go to your RL user account and select the Software Registration tab. Once, there search for iClone. You should see a download link. Click that, and a pop-up opens:  Download IC7_ENU_Bonus_Pack.exe and install. What is strange though is that you have the folder but that there is nothing in it. Did you check with File Explorer? I have recently done a fresh installation on a new PC but I don't remember if the CC1 characters were part of the Bonus Pack or came with iClone out right.

Hi Animagic! Hoe gaat ie? (;-)) I've been looking at both solutions you suggested: The Essential Morphs Packseems to be an older version of the Ultimate Morphs Pack, which is available to buy in the store, where the Essentail Morph pack doesn't seem to be able to add to the basket somewhere, or i may heve missed that option. Anyway, I'd prefer to buy the Ultimate morph pack, but i'm not sure if it contains CC1 characters as well. Maybe someone can tell me if this is the case? Then I checked the iClone work around. I can't find those avatars there either. It just now sows the Avatar/00_CC_Character directory. Maybe they didn't include them in the 7 verion? I checked my free resources in the Smart Gallery in CC3 as well, but without luck.

Rein, nice to see a fellow Dutchman! (Although I now live in the US). Anyway, I found the CC1 characters under Essential Morphs, which is an add-on pack. So in a different location from where Peter has them.  I would think they really should be included in the free content that comes with CC. In case you have iClone, there is a workaround. Load either Christian or Natalie (under Avatar/00_CC_Character) and drop the RL head on it.  Select "Edit in Character Creator" to open the character in CC, where you can convert it to a CC3+ character. The result is not bad:  The eyes are still the older eyes and would need to be replaced. Also the hair has the Traditional instead of the newer Digital Hair Shader. But since that's going to be replaced, it doesn't matter. Here I replaced the eyes using Eyes_07. As shown adjustments are need to make them fit:

That's weird. I looked in my Smart Gallery, the free resources, but the base characters CC1 don't show up.

So, is there a way to create a CC1 character using CC3? I liked Crazy Talk over Headshot because Crazy talk accepts "weird"( edited photo's to create a 3D face, where Headshot doesn't.. Like the one I created in this video. I'd like to port the character over to CC3 so I can add hair and more stuff.
You don't have to create a CC1 character. You just need to load one of the two base CC1 characters (see below) and then you can drag the RLHead onto it. Do check the thumbnail to make sure it says CC1 as shown below. If you can't find the CC1 characters do ensure you have installed all the "Free Resources" available in your CC3 Smart Gallery.

Hi...
The option to "Generate Head From Photo" is a carry over from previous versions and allows you to create a 3D head in CrazyTalk 8 Pipeline and add it a character in iClone or Character Creator. However, this process is now largely redundant as we now have the far superior Headshot plug-in for Character Creator 3 which can do the same thing, only better.
If you do want to try the process you will need to have CrazyTalk 8 Pipeline. You then generate a 3D head in CrazyTalk in the normal way, but when finished choose the option "Export RLHead" from the top toolbar. Once you have the RLHead saved this can be drag and dropped (or imported) onto a CC1 character in either iClone or Character Creator. But to be clear it must be a CC1 character. The process won't work with a CC3 or CC3+ character.
