Before I try to find some free .HDR or .EXR HDRI light maps, or look seriously at buying HDR Light Studio.... a couple of questions.
1) I've looked in the manual but it's vague about the file type of images that iClone 4 can accept in the HDR materials boxes? Can I load .HDR or .EXR?
2) If I can't use .HDR or .EXR, what are the possible disadvantages of converting those formats into .JPG files?Hi Peter,
Iclone supports HDR files not EXR. And I found that the longitude latitude or LL aspect format works best. for IBL. Also converting a HDR file into Jpeg will degrade the quality of the lighting if you are using them as IBL, because you are in essence reducing the palette spectrum.
Hope this helps,
