Hello, I downloaded the auto setup for unity and I'm trying to import the character, but I keep getting this error: Trying to copy properties from null material. And the character is completely black, even though I didn't make it like this. What do you think is the reason and what can I do? Thanks is advance and if I should post this somewhere else, let me know:) That is the same error the old auto-setup used to give in 2020+. Also I see there is no CC3 menu, so I'm thinking that's not my auto-setup. This is my version (HDRP only): https://github.com/soupday/cc3_unity_tools_HDRPThis is current Reallusion version (which should work in 2021): https://forum.reallusion.com/489608/Open-Source-Auto-Setup-for-Unity

Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I installed this ( https://forum.reallusion.com/489608/Open-Source-Auto-Setup-for-Unity) version before, I thought it was the one you made because they mentioned you in the post. I installed your version now and it works perfectly, thank you! :)

Hi all! Finally diving into this amazing tool. Just phenomenal work. I have ran into a complication during baking however. From what I can tell, pure PBR models are working fine High Quality -> Bake, but models using Human textures will fail after some time in bake (I can't tell what specific asset is throwing the error). GetMaxSize(Tex2d) at like 75 is the barker, but I believe it's a result of one of the materials. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Unity 2020.3.6f1 || HDRP 10.5.1 (also tested 10.5.0) Eye - Refractive == True Bake - Custom Shaders == True Bake - To Separate Prefab == True

Unity 2020.3.6f1 || HDRP 10.5.1 (also tested 10.5.0) Eye - Refractive == True Bake - Custom Shaders == True Bake - To Separate Prefab == True Looks like a missing HDRP mask map texture in the tongue material. Can you check that there's a: Std_Tongue_Pbr_HDRP.png texture files for the character? (It should be in " textures/<name>/<name>/CC_Base_Tongue/Std_Tongue_Pbr/") I've a made a quick fix to the baking code to cope with missing textures in the GetMaxSize function: v0.1.8b, but if the texture exists and the material setup is not picking it up, it could indicate another problem.

@Victor.SoupDay Do you have enough bones affecting the skin weights? (In the Quality, Project Settings) It should be at least 4 bones, preferably unlimited. Sometimes Unity defaults it to 2. Yes it was set to 2, that's solved the problem. Thank you so much for the tip. It is greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much Victor! The texture I have by that name was in my Huntress test. It was a blue texture. That character worked on bake. For the failing character, what I have in the character's tongue directory is this ...Pbr_MicroN.png:

I didn't know this exist. I think i have been using/trying the wrong unity auto script tool. I'm definitely gonna test this one instead since i have worked with your Blender tool before. I'm glad and thankful you did this for people that use Unity. I'm gonna test this! Awesome work again! =)

Hi, I'm highly interested in this auto setup tool for Unity, especially because of hair, I'm having such a struggle to make them look at least ok... But if I understood well, this auto setup is available for HDRP only, right? For now, no built-in? Thanks, and keep up this great work ^^

I've a few things to work out for URP and Built-In, namely: Anisotropic hair highlights, Subsurface scattering for the skin, and Eye refractive parallax, which neither URP nor built-in does natively. So far, without these effects this is the type of result I can get from the URP Pipeline (And built-in would be similar): - The hair shown is actually rendered opaque, with a dithering effect on the alpha clip range, which looks Ok (Certainly better than the basic alpha blending of URP), but also there are no directional highlights, yet.
- Without subsurface scattering on the skin it lacks the smoothing and translucency of the HDRP version.
- Finally there is no depth effect in the eyes.
I currently working on getting a working code base for the three pipelines so there is at least something for URP and built-in. Then I'll worry about putting the fancy shader effects in.
