Hello Soupday,
Hope all is well with you and your work. Have a quick question regarding Built in pipeline and the future of it.
Since 2021.2 something there is the ability to actually use Shader Graph inside of the built in pipeline (albeit you need to download from package manager).
Are you planning or already implementing the use of this for primarily the HAIR for built in?
I have a feeling that could possibly solve a lot of the issues we have all had with hair looking nice while using built in.
Let us know please and thank you.

I use Amplify Shader editor for the more advanced shaders in the 3D and URP pipelines, it's generally better than Shader Graph. Not that there's any dedicated hair shaders for 3D or URP in either case. Only HDRP has that.

What issues are you having with the hair?

Hey Victor,
Just joining the thread to say this is amazing work you do to enable the quality of CC4 characters in a Unity environment. Remarkable.
And the way you have set up the software and documentation is superb. Was able to get everything installed and running with my character in an afternoon.
And your comments and answers to questions in the forum are super helpful.
Thank you so much for your contributions to the Reallusion/Unity community - this is superb work and greatly appreciated.
 Cheers!

After importing the Characters into Unity, We ran into issues transferring them to other projects in HDRP. If you do an Export Package on them and import them into a fresh project the hair shaders come in corrupted. Not sure if it's an error with the code or some hidden dependency on having the CC4 Import Package installed. If it is a dependency then it needs to be changed.

Yeah, it didn't work.
The shaders for URP12 in 2021.2 and URP10 (2020.3) are just not compatible, so the only real way to resolve this is to make a separate package for URP12 with all the shaders specifically compiled for URP12 in 2021.2 and upwards. Otherwise it's just going to generate errors.

So,
Unity 2020.3 to 2021.1: URP10/11 Release
Unity 2021.2 to 2022.1: URP12/13 Release

See how that goes.

There are no hidden dependancies, unless you are transferring between different versions of HDRP. Though, there is only one hair shader (the HDRP single pass) that has an HDRP12 specific version because it does not upgrade the depth prepass and postpass correctly. (Makes the hair look too thin and transparent)
