That is a good suggestion and Yes, I have already watched the 3 introductory tuts that you refer to. All are very good, but I am a slow learner and will have to watch them again. Today I have been trying to get camera switch to work and am failing at that. I am following the tutorial but it acts like the standard version of iClone will not do camera switch. If I am wrong please tell me. If I am right, I wish at the beginning of the tut they would say if they are using the Pro version. That would certainly help in my confusion.
Don't get me wrong. I am trying to offer constructive criticism, not just complain. I appreciate all the help and suggestions I am getting. Thank you very much.

tedstrickler (11/2/2010) OK, thanks Alley. That wasn't mentioned in the tutorial. iClone comes at you from so many different angles that is gets very confusing and then I watch tutorials for hours on end until my head is spinning. I'll look into your links. You are very helpful.
Ted
Just checked the links. Nice stuff but $100 is too steep until I learn this program. If I ever learn my way around so I can understand and do the basics offered in iClone I will then spend some money because it would be worth it. Right now I am just banging my head against a brick wall. I'm also trying to figure out the cameras and paths and etc.Ted, I know how you feel. I felt that way at the beginning (I've only been into iClone for a little over a year). If you haven't done so, I would suggest that you watch stuckon3d's introduction tutorials. There excellent at introducing you to the basics and once you get the headache is gone, then tackle clonecloth. Just a suggestion!!!

Ted, Have you purchased the G3 Clone Cloth for Essential Man or Woman? This is an additional purchase over and above Iclone. This is where the wrinkle maps are and the particular clone cloth outfit you refer to as slim & sheath. http://www.reallusion.com/contentstore/csproduct.aspx?contentid=AIC320DIENU010620090630001&MenuItem=ic_avatar&Type=G3 http://www.reallusion.com/contentstore/csproduct.aspx?contentid=AIC320DIENU010620090526001&MenuItem=ic_avatar&Type=G3 However, the principles are all the same, even for default. Except you will have to make your own wrinkle maps.

Tutor, I clicked on your suggested link and it appears to be an excellent tutorial but when I tried to follow it I couldn't get past the first step. (Apply a G3 CloneCloth Character (Slim & Sheath B)) I have iClone 4 Std. (latest) and I do not have Slim & Seath B anywhere that I can find. Also, I cannot find any "Wrinkle" .iMtl files anywhere on my hard drive. It sounds like there should be some included in the download but I sure can't find them, even with a search. This stuff is really exciting but also very frustrating when I cannot even follow the steps in a tutorial. Please get me going in the correct direction. Ted

thanks Alley for those excellent tutorials - very well explained! I also was feeling rather disappointed with the G3 clonecloth, after not finding the default templates in the menus. I wish RL would stop changing the format of their packs!! thanks again Alley, you are an asset to the community.

Thanks very much, Peter. I had missed the one on wrinkle maps. And again, thanks to Alley for taking the time to explain all this in such clear terms.

Thank you very much, Alley! That's the exact one I wanted to start with. I also saw it on YouTube, so something over there is working for you. :)
Have a wonderful day!

I uploaded the flv I had but it failed - incompatible format for youtube, so I converted it in Adobe Media Converter to the highest quality I could and it's now uploaded. It's still processing, so the quality will improve. I'll get to them all eventually, but I think this is the one you wanted.
