Add morphs to your CC4 in UE5 easily and clean up the clothes with the Mesh Morpher Update :



@bassline - thanks for this!

Trying to work out what is a good workflow as regards multiple character body types and their altered clothing. Will this mesh morpher work if you are using clothes from marvellous designer or is best used for characters with cloths exported out of CC3/4? Also I assume the morphed characters will all still use the same skeleton and animations (even if you meshmorph to make a character taller?)
 


You can use MD cloth but it has to be skinned to the character. So the best way is to import the MD cloth into CC4 (as cloth) so it is skinned to the Character before exporting it to UE.
The other way is to import the CC4 and MD cloth into Maya , Blender or any other DCC , skinning it to the skeleton and copying weight paints.
Morphs , only morphs which doesn't change the skeleton size will work. If you want to change body sizes , you can do it with the BP easily.

Is anyone else running into a new problem where iclone live link to UE5 sends iPhone mocap to UE5 no problem to a meta human head. But no longer sends acculips visemes animation to meta human head? How do I fix it?

Is anyone else running into a new problem where iclone live link to UE5 sends iPhone mocap to UE5 no problem to a meta human head. But no longer sends acculips visemes animation to meta human head? How do I fix it?



1. download the "Meta Human Live Link Kit" and add it to your UE5 project (overwrite existing) , so the MH Face Anim BP will be updated. https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/live-link/unreal-engine/download.html
2. Deactivate "Use less CPU when in background" in the UE5 preferences.
3. Add the "Face_AnimBP" to the face of the MH under anim class. ( if it is not already)
4. in the "Face_AnimBP" select the "blend pose by init" and switch it to CC4 ( Blend Pose 2) to get the link for all extended blend shapes of the CC4 ... ( see Video)
