I'm posting this more as a general question than something specific (because I may be the only person who has bought the Rokoko Glove Plugin -- certainly there isn't any posts from anyone on it).

Has anyone had a Motion Live plugin installed that did not show up in Motion Live?  And, if so, what did you do to resolve it?

I've both uninstalled and reinstalled iClone and the various Motion Live plugins through the Hub and while my other plugins (Live Face, Perception Neuron) show up the Rokoko Glove plugin does not (and therefore no way to activate or use it, even though the Rokoko Studio Live seems to be streaming data just fine in the background).  I've never had a plugin I bought just not show up in Motion Live before -- there are times when it hasn't worked or been difficult to connect to, but this one is stumping me.

I've already put in a trouble ticket (so I'll hear from RL in a week) but in the meantime I thought maybe someone else had this issue with some other plugin that could shed some light.

After giving this some thought... a horrible feeling is overtaking me.

I *think* the reason the gloves don't show up is because Motion Live is also looking for the Body Rokoko profile (the one which, of course, costs $$$).

Edit: In retrospect and after some trying I don't think it's this because even installing the Rokoko body suit plugin doesn't work (I mean IT doesn't show up, either).  So something is wrong with Rokoko plugs, I guess.

I have had trouble with Faceware in the past, but in that case I got a message that the version was incompatible. I think the solution then was that a configuration file was missing specifying the minimum version required.

If you have a second system to install it on, you could try that if you haven't done that already to see if it is visible. As this is a recent plugin it could indeed be a bug in the installation procedure.

You may be right, Job.  Just for kicks I tried installing the Rokoko Body profile (on a trial basis) and IT didn't show up, either.

So perhaps it's just a Hub issue.  I hope so and I hope it's easy to fix.  Right offhand I can't remember if you can install plugins any other way anymore, but I'll check.  And in the meantime I can try another computer (although my hunch is that it's just as mucked up there).

Well, installing it manually (which apparently is still a thing) still didn't work.

So there is something mucked up, perhaps just with this version of iClone (which definitely is the latest).  I do need to get it resolved soon, though, as my window for returning these gloves is closing.  I've put that trouble ticket in, so hopefully RL will have an answer for me (I don't expect to get an answer for a week, but perhaps by Friday.  And when I say "for a week" I mean an answer that actually works.  If I get it by the end of this week I'll be REALLY happy and perhaps even a little surprised).

I was curious and installed the trial of the Smart Gloves plugin and nothing shows up. So it's not just you. Same with the Rokoko Body profile.

I also have the Leap Motion plugin (although not the hardware) and it shows up under Hands as expected.

Hopefully RL will find a quick solution for you.
