yeah,  since the original plug in -  iclone and indigo have had a significant amount of updates -  some make some things much better ....and other things not so much.  The better stuff make up for the stuff that doesn't work as well anymore though. the quality and speed of what it does render correctly has gotten a lot better.

Oh well, so the export with trees crash iClone now. Too bad. Used to work just fine...

unfortunately indigo doesn't work with trees or grass,  the solution would be to render the grass scene in iclone with a green background,   then the rest in indigo and composite them in a video editor.  Iclone does well with trees though and you can get a relatively realistic look if you fine tune the lights - tip,  remove the lights ...and try to get the best lighting with the "Visual" panel,  particularly the IBL lighting,  once you have that tight,  then add lights as necessary for final detail.....the realism look comes from the visual panel,  and the shadows come from the lights...but the lights can also glare things out so should be used sparingly which is why you do them last.

am using indigo renderer and anytime i try to render a scene with trees on iclone i clone closes automatically any suggestions?
