So I have learned that by using the world move dingle ( ) at a certain spot, you can move characters and items from one point of the timeline to another. Great! But I have a persona that's a cockroach which I want to move from far to near, running towards the camera. I have tried using the dingle with it, but the animation motions get in the way. They force it to stay still until the very end, then it moves REALLYFAST to its target. I HATE using paths, because they won't go straight. Every time I try to use a path and pull it towards the camera, it curves down instead of going in a straight line. That, and I have to have forced perspective to make the roach really big, because the presets don't let me change its actual size, and running along a path makes it its actual size.

Why isn't my cockroach moving towards the camera as I have tried to set it on the timeline with the dingle, and how do I make it move its legs as the animation does, but ALSO move towards the camera at the same time, WITHOUT paths that screw up every time I try?

Thank you!

it curves down instead of going in a straight line.

Just for this part :)

You have to press Shift, while applying a second (and so on) path point(s) to make it a straight line....

So... what you're saying is that iClone DIDN'T make a path automatically straight no matter what direction you move it and let the user move it in a curve if they want to, as common sense would dictate?

*$*(@*%**()@$*(@@*&!

WHY do they have to make it harder than it has to be??????

Thank you, but the avatar is still too small. No way to do forced perspective. :(

lol, You are trying to fool the law of optics. It is not going to happen.
In order to have a perspective you got to have a perspective background.

This is how I fooled (I only made this to have correct Depth of Field)
So this is a Camel walking along the plane background.
75% of original size (was 670x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/1ea73507-bb97-4575-b4a3-d037.jpg

But I have a perspective and more, or less correct Depth because...
I curved a background (in Blender)
75% of original size (was 670x19) - Click to enlargehttps://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/953b7a8b-17be-4f2b-ac61-da6f.jpg

I can also move the camera in and out and it would be moving along the ground to some point.

Now, you can apply your background as a sky and have it 360, but it does require a hi-res background, some considerations, like properly matching a Sky sphere UV... etc. You have to play with it.

You can have video as a sky too, but it better have a good resolution.
Or the curved plane with curve part of it aligned with ground or sides, depending what you have in the video.
