Hi there, I'm a freelancer. Right now I'm using GTX 960M form my Animation work, 3ds, maya, premiere pro, runs well.. only the iclone is slower. When scenes got lil bit huge in props and assets and lot of Avatar then iclone is too much slower.. Can any one please suggest me the best graphic card for this ? Not very high in budget, and not very low in budget . I have done some youtube search and found rtx Quadro is better than rtx gaming cards, is this true for iclone ? Or a gaming rtx card will be best..? *And i will be using amd ryzen 9 5000 series Please suggest, thanks

You asked two separate questions. The BEST card, by far, is the RTX 3090. Quadro actually seems pretty piss poor. But the best that isn't too much (and not too little) is likely the RTX 3080. Good price point positioning and good overall power. Problem is, of course, you can't get one (maybe a year or two).

RTX 3070 is very nice too (I just got one, makes a huge difference with my previous 2070).

Yes, it certainly matters a lot where you are coming from. My 3090 isn't that much better, speedwise, than my Titan. But, of course, it has twice the memory. Folks coming from slower cards with less memory are going to be very impressed with nearly any of the new Nvidia ones.

The only (but still expensive) way to get an RTX 3090 is to buy the PC with it, which I did and Mike as well. I also have 128 GB of RAM. I'm very pleased with my upgrade, coming from a GTX 1080Ti (which really matches the 2000 series except for RTX support) and 32 GB of RAM. It is not just rendering but may other aspects of the work that are much smoother.
