Hi I was given iclone 7, CC3 and 3DXchange 3 has a christmas gift from my lovely wife. I had so many problems with installations, crashes Smart Gallery not working I just gave up and went back to iclone 6. I have now got to redo some of my avatars because obviously you cant take characters back from iclone 7 to iclone 6. So now to my next problem. I recreated my avatar in CC2 and put it into iclone 6 made a few adjustments and want to put it back into CC2 to make a few more changes, but when i try and edit my character in iclone using the edit in character creator button it says cc is not loaded. It obviously is because i used it to create the character in the first place. Is their anywhere im missing where i can tell IC 6 that the character creator version i am using is vers 2 not 1. if not how can i get my character into CC2 to make my changes.

By the way iclone 7 sucks!!! couldnt even get a refund even after all my complaints and messages to 'support'.  That also is a jke.....the support I tried was so useless no wonder it took me so long to just give up on it, hence took to long so wouldnt give me my money back.

Even looking at other software now so i can give reallusion a wide birth completely I am that pissed off with it.

Sorry to hear about your problems. It won't help you to say that iClone 7 has been working fine for me. I wish your issues could be sorted out so that you can enjoy your gift.

Anyway, you should be able to load iAvatar files directly into CC by choosing File => Import.

I still have iClone 6 as well and when I select send to CC, it opens the character in CC 1.5, not CC 2. I don't know why that is.

Hi Woody,

if I may make a suggestion,  in the past whenever I had to re-install iclone from issues,  most if not all of the time the issues persisted because of bad registry entries that are not removed when you uninstall the program. A reinstall fixes nothing if the old damaged registry entries from bad install still exist.   So I always run CCleaner after an uninstall to first remove the damaged registry entries then have ccleaner remove any extra garbage temp files ( i have it set to only remove temp files,  nothing else such as my library just temp files )

Disclaimer -  while I've never heard of anyone having an issue with CCleaner damaging their system,  I can't guarantee anything because I simply don't know what kind of set up you may have... ie - a custom modified build   -  so I highly advise you doing your own research before taking this approach.    It should be fine but I have to say this if by chance you have that 1 in a million build that has special requirements for maintenance. ie you decide to run iclone on a hopsital server when you should be working and 15 people died because you cleared out the registry on a customized system running the hospital heath monitors ..etc..

The free version has all the necessary tools for this approach - https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download

Good luck!
