I am about to upgrade to Apple’s new M1 chip. But before I spend a fortune, is anyone else running Cartoon Animator 4 on one of Apple’s latest computers with the M1 chip? Thanks in advance.

Why is there so little info about this question??? Does CTA4 work with Apple Silicon or not? I'm currently working on an Intel machine but plan on upgrading soon and don't want to invest time and money in software that will be obsolete.

No, it won't work.  So do NOT invest in it.

Stick with a PC (and, truly, Intel 9 chip).

> Why is there so little info?

Because it's a non-issue.

> Does it work?

Yes, it works.
If it didn't, there would be a lot more discussion and complaints about it, from the people who actually have Apple Silicon devices (not just Windows users "peering over the fence").

Hello over there!  Hehe  Yup, that's right.  The M1 processor was initially announced in early November 2020, with machines shipping shortly afterwards. This thread was originally posted in early January 2021, when real-world experiences were still somewhat limited. I got my Mac mini M1 just before that first Christmas.

M1 Pro and M1 Max were announced last year while M1 Ultra was announced in March this year.  M2 was announced at the big developer conference (WWDC), about a month ago.

Yeah, and I made a misstatement because I had just woken up from my nap and thought (for some odd reason - can't even tell you what) that you were asking about Character Creator.  Sigh.

Hi. I just bought a Mac Studio with the M2 chip and I get an error when trying to install the software. Rosetta 2 is installed but doesn't pop up. How did you install the software?
