I would like to put a flame on top of my candle but I haven't been able to change the size of the Legacy Torch Fire flame. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you for trying. I do not use popvideo. Are you saying there is no way to re-size the legacy torch?

How can I re-size the popcornFX flame to fit a handheld candle?

You don't need Popvideo - you can use the file I provided (watch the video and see).

Hi Ivan,

You absolutely can alter the size of the Legacy Flame.  All these legacy particle emitters have 4 "Particle keys" (under Modify) that can alter throughout the life of the particle.  You can alter the 4 Colors, the 4 Opacities and the 4 Sizes (Width and Height).  Plus you can space them out to a degree (by sliding them) to alter the effect.  (Note: you need to click on each key to see and alter their values.)

In your case, try just changing the Size of each (Width and Height).  By default (if I'm looking at the same - Torch Fire?), the sizes go (left to right) 40x40, then 40x40 then 20x15 then lastly 2x2.

Easiest thing to try is to halve them all.  20x20, 20x20, 10x7, 1x1.

And if that's not enough, keep going smaller.

Hope that helps!  Let me know if you need any help.

BiggsTrek.

Here is a candle I made a long, long time ago with Popcorn Torch Fire:
Feel free to download, easier to do it that way instead of explaining the Popcorn settings,
you will see the settings when opening popcorn editor...

This did work, but I was unable to make it as small as I needed, so I will be using the weird popcornFX fire. Thank you.

Another thing you can do in Legacy is to reduce the Opacity image size itself (which looks like a little ball of flame).  Meaning make that ball smaller in a photo editor, but keep the black background the same size.

It's a bit of a hack in some ways, but as you found, there are limits on the sizing of the keys.

Plus, when you do that, you may need to slow down the speed of the particles to compensate for their smaller size so as to keep a single flame, rather than getting a string of flame balls.  So to speak.

I can make one up easy enough after work, if you don't find any joy with the other options you've been given.  (I seem to remember having a candle flame in one of my movies, The Haunter Of The Dark, so it's not impossible.)

(EDIT: Found it  See below)
Just let me know.

This reminds me of my own candle fire that I tried many years ago. I have forgotten if it is scalable. I have this project not more to test.
