When will we be able to import Sketchup 7 models directly into 3DXchange4? Tried a few, and got a message asking me to save them as version 6 first.

Good question... I had expected the updated 3DXchange 4 being able to handle Sketchup 7 content.

This surprises me, too. I hope it'll be addressed in an update.

Looks like they celebrate Easter in Taiwan, no one from RL has answered this question yet. (Nice way to bump this one)

Hi Gerry, I'll endeavor to find out from the 3DXchange team what the situation is with Sketchup 7 models. This functionality may well be introduced in a future patch or update. I'll post here as soon as I find out anything for sure.

A little more on the Sketchup 7 issue. It was hoped that Sketchup 7 support would have been in the 1.0 release of 3DXchange 4 but problems with the Google SDK prevented this sadly. It is now planned to introduce Sketchup 7 compatibility in a future update.

I have problem with importing from Sketchup. I have a house that it's too big when I import in 3dxchange. I even shrank it in sketchup and it's still too big in 3dxchange even when I resize it to 1 which is the lowest number you can resize it.
Anyone knows what's the problem?

Hi. When you have scaled your prop, click on the 'Reset Transform' button in the Modify Panel on the RH side. You can then scale down again.

What'd the benifit of using Sketchup 7 files anyway? More complex shapes? OMore complete textures? What?
