Here is my first attempts at using the iClone motion to CA4. I animated the dummy using direct puppet, and made it bop around to the musical soundtrack with the mouse as i listened. The music is my own. I didn't want to use the stock characters, so I quickly adapted some G3 characters in Photoshop.. Using the mouse is something I like. I used some motion puppet movements also in parts, masking out some of the motion.Camera shake was put in in post in Hitfilm.

Love to see how you explain the process in detail, seems like it's a very spontaneous & creative production. Just out of curiosity, which motion did you use in the video?

Hi Minnie, I crated most of the motions using the mouse and 'direct puppet', although I mixed in a few motions from 'Motion Puppet'. Most of the motions I've put together myself. The motions I mixed in were the cheering motions(for the wavy arms0 and the drunk motion, for a bit of naturalistic wobble. Wiyh the mouse I open 'direct puppet' and start rotating or moving say the hips or legs in time to the music I have imported.

New test with a new character, animated once more with the mouse and 'Direct puppet'. Some editing with Edit motion layer. This worked better with this character when I rotated the legs a bit to make the character more Pidgeon toed.

Here's anew video, once again animated with 'direct Puppet' in iClone. There was very little adjusting of the morph head in CA4, most of the time it worked well with my new character. I simply imported the soundtrack in iClone and moved the mouse on various bodyparts.
I decided to do this again as the original video had a few technical issues with the layers, learnt how to fix that now. Also wanted a better actor.

@ AnimaniacYou are definitely a diligent learner. I believe your experience is also helpful to users in the community to know how Motion Link works in the creation. :) Thanks for trying it out!

Hi Animanica,
Your character is so artistic and beautiful, you can try more 3D motion and adjust the projection angle to fit each site character.

There's quite a few there, I don't always have a heap of time spent on them, but you can see more at https://www.youtube.com/user/mbj007There's a few narrative videos, which I have won awards for, on there too.
