I purchased Motion LIVE Plug-in, Faceware Realtime and Faceware Profile for Motion Live back in March of 2019.I had to re-install Windows and all software.Motion LIVE shows in my Plugins. I can select a character. But, after that it bombs.In iClone 7, Motion LIVE tells me "Failed to connect to Faceware Live" (same for Realtime).I thought that there was a "container" to access the server....don't have it.What's the steps to get all re-installed.

Do you have Faceware Realtime for iClone running? That would be the first step. I hope it does because reinstalling that part is cumbersome. I've always used the Faceware the old-fashioned way (without Motion Life), but today I needed to connect via ML. I don't know if this will help you, but I found that I needed to select Faceware Realtime in two places to make it work:

I'm glad you included the screen cap. This is something that I have not often used. Once installed, its been great. Yes...I am having issues with this running as shown. Any additional info would be appreciated.

I guess that I don't need to run/install Motion LIVE Plug-in, Faceware Realtime or Facetime Profile for Motion Live....or do I? iClone seems confused (as am I) as to what to use.
Suggestions?

It's a while ago that I installed everything, but I think this is what you need: - Faceware Realtime for iClone, which takes the video from your camera and converts it into facial motion date.
- Faceware Profile for MotionLive, which connects Faceware to the MotionLive plugin.
- MotionLive plugin itself.
MotionLive functions as a hub to combine various motion-capture streams, so that you can combine body with facial motion capture for example.For a session, you first start Faceware Realtime for iClone to set up your camera. Then in iClone, you select Plugins => MotionLive and take it from there.EDIT: You can check in the RL Hub what you currently have installed. There should be an entry for MotionLive and under that an entry for the Faceware Profile. Faceware Realtime for iClone is a separate install, not listed in the Hub.

So I spent the best of the day and many anxious moments fixing a problem with my current Faceware installation, which wouldn't work on my regular iClone 7.82 (the screen capture above comes from a source I can't talk about). Under "C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 7\Bin64\OpenPlugin\MotionLIVE\external" there should be a file called "MinimumVerRequired.ini". If that is missing Motion Live will give an incompatibility error. I sort of remembered that, but had forgotten...:unsure: So, JmsRyan, check if that file is there. I'm still not quite sure what your problem is, so this may not be relevant.

It sorta works...Faceware sez "Trial Version" Do I need to uninstall the profile/delete a file, and reinstall?

That "ini" file is missing...I have two folders under "external" - "faceware live" and "faceware rt" Both have a "profile" subfolder and two PNGs The profile folder has JSONs...but, dated to 2018.

It may be best to uninstall and reinstall. I don't quite remember but if you reinstall it should ask for your serial number. You can also try to register on the Register Product section of your RL account page. It may catch it that way. I'm not really an expert, so if none if this work you may have to contact Support at https://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/UserEx/QForm.html.
