This will be my first contest on here or in general when it comes to art stuff. I'm working on a character from my stories called Ace Cardia. He's from an industrial city in the middle of a frozen wasteland which is set in a world of magic, even if magic is restricted in the city. I hope he turns out well. At least I'll be able to improve myself and grow as an artist.

I found an image to start with so I can get head start with head shot. Thus I began to tweak his form a bit to get him just right.



Did some more tweaks till I felt he was just right physically.



Finally I retextured him so I can get a better base skin. I used substance painter for the work and also made a template for future skin I need to make for darker skin types.

Created some clothes in Marvelous Designer to give him a bit of style.



Add some accessories and re-textured the clothes and his own skin.

Nearing the end of the contest I need to post the final version of the character.



Looking good I say, though I think he needs a bit of character.



A nice scar adds some and maybe a shinny belt buckle.
