Is anyone else getting the "Serial Number Exceeded" error on iClone? Everything was working fine a few days ago. NOTHING has changed on my end. I've literally done nothing in terms of other computers (I have one other install of iClone on my laptop but I haven't booted up that laptop for weeks now and I *thought* you could have it installed on both a laptop and a desktop as long as you only used one at a time. Has that changed?)

Mike, You can have iClone installed on 2 systems, only restriction being that only one can be in use at any time. Many many moons ago I read somewhere on the product page, or maybe somewhere else in the RL web jungle, that there are restrictions regarding the number of deactivations available before warning notices appear. These may be tied to DRM, the number of hours of sunshine in Greenland on an average winter day, or the price of Fish and Chips in London during the Spring sales. Your best bet is shooting off a PM to Peter regarding this, RL HQ is closed for the weekend, but he may be available for assistance.

I was able to "fix" things by removing an old computer (I had two activations on my account, one my older one which I never use iClone on anyway) BUT I also had to reinstall iClone on my main computer (because it would not work otherwise). THAT was odd because iClone wasn't even installed anymore on that computer. Weird thing is that NOTHING has changed for me -- so something RL did made this happen, which was VERY annoying. I haven't even booted that old computer up for many months now and I certainly didn't change anything on my main desktop (other than perhaps OS updates, although it's hard to imagine THAT causing the issue).

Kelleytoons (10/9/2020) Is anyone else getting the "Serial Number Exceeded" error on iClone?

Has that changed?)I had the same error yesterday with an iClone 5 installation! Of course it was only installed on two computers. What I did was actually delete the activations, after which it worked again (no reactivation needed)... It seems to be a glitch in RL's license server.

I had an issue a few weeks ago while doing an update (via the Hub, of course). One of the modules didn't install correctly, resulting in a mismatch of versions between iClone and one of the add-ons. The solution was to reinstall iClone.
Even though I was online when I unstialled it, and I was putting it back onto the same computer, I got the "too many installations" complaint when trying to do the reinstall. Eventually I broke down and did the "remove license" thing in my account and then everything installed fine.
If you were just sitting there minding your own business, not doing an uninstall/reinstall stuff, and then started having problems, that is far more strange than the problem I had.
iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity... Desktop (homebuilt) - Windows 10, Ryzen 9 3900x CPU, GTX 1080 GPU (8GB), 32GB RAM, Asus X570 Pro motherboard, 2TB SSD, terabytes of disk space, dual monitors. Laptop - Windows 10, MSI GS63VR STEALTH-252, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 (6GB), 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD

I was just "minding my own business" as you put it...
