I made a mistake when installing CC3, and all new contents install to the wrong folder:

Template/Template/Character Creator 3 Template/

I am having to move all installed contents to the correct folder after each new content installation. How can I fix this? Where in the program can I correct the template folder path?

There's no settings to change the path. You need to uninstall and re install to your desired path. Then just copy paste everything into the new path.

Ok, I have uninstalled both CC3 and iClone, and then reinstalled using the Reallusion HUB, along with all the plugins. Now, when I launch iClone, it gets me a "Failed to load the file" error message at launch, when still only showing the splash screen. When I close the error message, it quits launching.

I know this is not one of those nVidia driver issues because iClone was launching fine before reinstalling, and CC3 launches fine.

iClone seems to be failing to launch because of some file it claims not to find. How can I find out what file it is complaining about?

Just bumping this with hopes someone could answer my question above. I have reinstalled iClone (to fix the template path), and now it won't launch. I get a "Failed to load the file" error message at launch, and then it quits.

The only thing i can think of is that it's trying to find the old location. What i would do is the following.

Make a folder where you have space. Grab the old location and move the iclone installation to that folder (Completely emptying the install location, but backing it up) Do that to anywhere you have it located. Then try reinstalling again to your desired location.

Where I said above to copy-paste everything back, that only applies to your content, not installation files/folder. If you copied your installation files back over your new installed location that could create issues. You only want to be moving the Reallusion custom, template folders etc in the content section which is normally located in your C drive - Public folders.

Thanks for the feedback. The template contents I wanted to fix with this were from CC3, not iClone. That is now working fine after reinstalling and fixing the template path. The problem I am having now is with iClone, which was also uninstalled and installed again, where the template remains in the same folder it was before. I have a new (larger) system drive, and I am moving all my programs to there now. So the program locations have changed, but the template remains in the same place as it was before, except for CC3 because it was installing contents at "template\template", which was fixed now and works fine. In short, CC3 and iClone were uninstalled and moved to my new drive C, but the templates remain where they were before.

Therefore I do not believe the file iClone is not finding is related to the template location, because that hasn't changed. I also know this is not one of those nVidia driver issues because the driver version is still the same, and CC3 still launches fine. Is there a log file that could identify what file iClone is failing to locate?

I'd just uninstall and reinstall again. It could just be a bad corrupt install. These things happen from time to time, not just with reallusion products. If it's still having issues, try install it without the HUB. If that fails, then i would have to say you will need to contact the reallusion support team.

After a clean install, I still get the same error about not finding a file at launch, when showing the splash screen. I don't know what file that is, so how can I fix it?
