One of the hard drives I had all my iclone custom data recently started failing on me, so I moved it all to another hard drive. When I start up iclone, it gives me an error saying that it can't locate the custom data folder and quits.

Is there any way to change the path without having to re-install the program or change the drive letter on my hard drive?

Thanks.

If you can't open iClone then you obviously can't use Preferences to change the paths. So, if you're using Windows Vista or 7, you might try this possible solution. Create a Windows Restore Point first.

Now go to Windows Start / All Programs. Somewhere in there, possibly in Windows System Tools, you should have the Run icon. Start this and in the box type the word Regedit - and then press OK.

You've now opened the Registry Editor. Scary stuff, so be careful what you're doing. Navigate all the way down to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Reallusion\iClone\4.0

There are several similar-sounding keys, so make sure you have exactly the right one.

This key appears to be where iClone stores the paths to content. You should be able to edit the paths for the custom content folder from here.

For those with 64-bit installations you will find the path under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Reallusion\Iclone\4.0

This is for Vista, I assume this is the same for Windows 7.
