I'm trying to use an old imotion file about 4000 frames long. The character walks in and sits down and I use "look at camera" to constrain her eyes to another character. The camera is attached to his head. The imotion file already had a speech track and visemes and perhaps some head motion. I made it a while ago. Everything looks fine until I export the character to 3dexchange and then send the motion plus file in. The eyes are moving around crazily.
If it's because the original motion already had head movement baked in is there a way to fix this? It seems strange that one eye would point at the floor and the other at the ceiling because of overlapping data. And why is it fine in iclone but not in 3dexchange?
Is there a way to still use the motion either by removing all the data from the neck up or by saving out the data from the neck down and then reapplying to a fresh character?
I want to send it to Maya but I'm pretty sure if the eyes are wonky in 3dexchange I'll have the same result in Maya.
