Hello All,
The title pretty much sums it up: A camera won't "look at" a particular character, and dummy box won't attach to the same character. Why might this happen? Thanks.

Make sure the camera isn't "locked" (little lock next to name in Scene Mgr).  Also, try linking the box instead of attaching.

Thanks. There is no lock, and linking didn't work either. I just deleted that (critical) character for now while I work on other things, (paths and camera work.) I'll bring her back in fresh and see. Thanks again!

OK, I may not have the answer, but I have the solution:

1. Get the "corrupted" character out of there. Delete.
2. Bring in another "OK" character, and direct the camera to Look At it.
3. Directly replace the "OK" character with your "corrupted" character, in its same spot.
4. Your camera will already be "Looking At" your character. You are good to go.
5. I still can't link to that character though. The camera "sees" right through her to the plane below, and picks that.

Yesterday I've run into the same (or similar) issue on iClone 7.81: the CC3 character was not able to "look-at" CC3+ character, I had to do a trick - create a ball prop attached to CC3+'s head and configuring the CC3 to look at it.

I will try to dig a bit further, but so far it confirms @crantic report.
