Personally to me Unreal is far better, I think it's the thing some of us are fighting with at the moment, IC is super easy for animation, Unreal not so, IC-8 maybe better, if IC-8 could come close the UR look with reflection spheres, volumetric lighting, fog, and better cameras then I would ditch UR for sure...oh and the large sets it can handle in real-time and so smooth, but at the moment iC and UR live link is the only live solution, and as with everything in UR....it's always a challenge and never a one-click or drag this animation on top for things to work.
I've been working/playing with Unreal for months and slowly picking things up and to be honest I can not see my self using iC for anything but the animation or test sets, Unreal can produce AAA 3D film quality story telling which is what I like. and of course, the AR and VR side of UR is very strong as well which is another thing I am interested in.
