I have an motion applied to a character, but it walks forward by default. I remember seeing a tutorial that showed how to adjust this so the walk motion doesn't step forward, but walks in place. However, I can no longer find this video. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd be grateful for any hints. thank you

I am not at my animation computer, so I am working from memory here. However, I THINK that if you right-click the motion clip and choose "Align Entire Clip" and choose "Root," that should remove the forward motion, and will cause them to walk in place. Again, I am not at my computer right now, so I can't check first to make sure my information is correct. Therefore, if I have just experienced a bout of cranial flatulence and I have given incorrect info, I beg your pardon. Good luck, Terry

Hi Terry, Right clicking the motion file in the timeline and selecting "Reset Pivot" worked. The character went from walking forward to walking in place. Thanks for the tip!
