Hi, I am sorry I am probably not using the right terminology but I imported two Mocap clips and want to edit them together into one fluid motion but the characters starting position is different in the second clip, so there is a jump in world space. If I adjust the character position it is also adjusted in the previous mocap clip that is ahead in the timeline, so the two don’t meet up. My dilemma is that I’m not sure what to search for in the manual. I found something about Motion Root but that does not seem to be the solution to my problem as it was turned on by default. The same thing happens when I want to duplicate a motion to extend a motion path. Imagine a character walks from A to B but the walking cycle is not long enough to get there. If I duplicate the walking cycle to extend it the starting position of the duplicate is again in position A. I need a way to move that starting position without changing the position of the clip/s ahead in the timeline.

Hi, I'm bumping this up again because I really need to find a solution. I'm stuck. I have 2 motion clips and need to connect them but the actor origin of motion clip 2 is not in the same place as the end of motion clip 1 in the timeline so the body jumps to another position when the second clip starts. I can key the position in the "Transform" timeline but it only works with a hard cut between the two motion clips. I'm not able to drag clip 2 out for a smooth transition without having the actor slide into some other position. Motion Root checked or unchecked in the Animation tap has no effect at all. There has got to be a simple solution to this. Thank you in advance for any help!!

Have you tried Right-Clicking on the 2nd anim clip in the Timeline and tried the... Align or Align Whole Clip or Align to Previous Motion Layer functions? By choosing a body part to align to, you might be able to get the results you are looking for.
