Ok, I found the solution. For some reason it was seeing my characters head as a full character. The solution to this for anyone who may be having the same problem, is to go to "Windows" at the top of your screen, and open the "Content Manager". On the side of the pop up are different tabs, click the one that says "Actor". Now up at the top there are two options, "Template" and "Custom", click "Custom". Click on the option that says "Head", and there shouldn't be anything there. If there are already heads there that you did not design, you aren't in the "Custom" tab. Once you find the empty head tab, click on your character's head then hit the plus sign at the bottom of the "Content Manager", and it should insert your head as a custom head. Once you have it as a head and not as a character, it will allow you to give it a body and all will be well.
