I just picked up some free hair at the store, and it says I should tick the boxes and open my software for automatic download. Nothing happens. The only thing that occurs to me to me is that it says the required product is iClone 5 or above, and I have CC3... is it actually the case that the hair won't work in CC3? That seems unlikely. Can this be the source of the download problem? Or am I missing some other factor about downloading the content?

If the items are older iClone content - before the release of Character Creator, then they will be tagged in the store as only for iClone and not for CC use. If you have iClone installed, any version from 5 upwards then just download the assets there and then drag them in to CC for use. Don't use the SG to download, use the "older" RL installer.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't have iClone, and I'm not going to get it just to download old assets... It seems pretty silly to do this, since loading into iClone obviously makes the items usable in CC3. It feels like ordering a five dollar drink in a restaurant and then being told you have to buy a whole set of dishes for $100 so they can pour the drink in your glass.
