That makes sense. I was looking at the G2 characters, but liked the 360 head animation better on the G3.

Wait -- G2 characters have a motion editor but G3 does not? And if I understand correctly, G2 characters have other advantages, like using iClone motion files. So why would anyone want to use a G3 character?

G3 characters have fixed angles. Most G3 characters will have a front facing view, a 45 degree side view and with some characters you may also have an additional 90 degree side view. So to be able to switch your character to a different angle mid scene, you will need to have both side and front view versions loaded. Then say at frame 1 have the side view character visible and the front facing character hidden. Then at the point you want your character to switch angle, set the side view character to hidden and then make the front facing version visible. This will give the appearance of the character turning if done correctly. Note: If you use G2 characters you can use the 3D Motion Editor to make the required angle changes.

I am now to Cartoon Animator. I have a character that is walking to the side. I then want him to walk towards the camera. I have not figured out yet how to have him rotate from the side character to the from character
