Hellos,  I am SUPER tempted to get me the CC3 and iClone bundle and managed to test them both (loving the process involved a lot!).  I have some general questions on somethings to clarify as to what is allowed for game engines such as Unity.

1) Generally , what is allowed to be used royalty free for game engines (nothing in my case is being sold other than the game itself (once it is completed)
2) If I created my own model (not by Reallusion) and animated it in iClone, do my exports to a 3d model (FBX, clothing or avatar) count as being owned by Reallusion since I used their tool to create animations?
3) I saw a iClone content export license page that showed something about motion cost each.  If I made my own animations (not purchased via marketplace) does this cost apply to my animations each?

Thank you in advance :)

Hellos again. I am still curious on purchasing this if anyone can help me here.

I do have another question to tack on to the original questions I have.  Regarding shape sliders.  I saw somewhere that its now allowed in some way to be able to use shape sliders when doing exports?
Does that mean character customization isnt possible or allowed?

Thank you

From Content EULAYou are authorized to use Reallusion and Vendors’ Content in your projects. You are required to apply for free mass distribution rights by contacting marketing@reallusion.com. Reallusion will then grant you the free authorization certificate.

2) If I created my own model (not by Reallusion) and animated it in iClone, do my exports to a 3d model (FBX, clothing or avatar) count as being owned by Reallusion since I used their tool to create animations?

What did you mean by "count as being owned by Reallusion"?
Can you make an example of what your model is? Clothes?

3) I saw a iClone content export license page that showed something about motion cost each.  If I made my own animations (not purchased via marketplace) does this cost apply to my animations each?

May you paste the full descriptions from the page you mentioned? It's unclear to me.

There is no such function at the moment.

Does that mean character customization isnt possible or allowed?

The definition of character customization is wide. The ability of changing character shape is just one type of all.
According to AP EULA,
The unique topology of characters generated by Character Creator is Reallusion’s property. You may not do the following applications unless getting explicit permission from Reallusion:
- Repurpose them into any other 3D formats, distribute them, or sell them in any third party marketplaces or applications.
- Use the characters or their morph assets to build up another character generation system in games or interactive services.

I suggest you contact marketing@reallusion.com to know more.

Hi thanks for responding, here is what you asked for

Question #1
Understood thank you.

This is for question #2
My own model meaning , an avatar mesh not native to Character Creator/iClone.  If i use my own models, avatar and clothing/attachments.  If i use my own, would this relate to question #3

This is for question #3

This is for my followup question in the second post (shape sliders - morphs)

Hi thekliveone,

#3 It defines the differences of two content license types in Reallusion Content Store & Marketplace. Once is iContent, another is Export license.
It helps users to decide which license types suitable for their case when purchasing content.
It seems to me this page is not relevant to your case as you will create models (mesh) and animation by yourself.

#2 It's your asset, you own the rights.

I understood what function you meant by exporting body morph sliders.
As mentioned, we don't have this function at the moment, and I'm not sure whether it will be implemented someday. :(
