I am wondering if this is normal. I’ve used Live Face to capture Mocap, but for certain phrases I’m raising the lip clip strength to use Visemes for certain words. Whenever I try to replace or delete a Viseme, it takes between 10 and 15 seconds. I’m only using .5 of my 11GB of video memory and the project is only 347, 506 traingles. It might not seem like a long time, but I would think that it could change or delete a Viseme quickly.

Wish I could help, but I actually came to this forum to ask the same question! It doesn’t seem to be taxing my system in any way, but interacting with the lips editor makes things slow to a crawl.

I’m running windows 10
16 GB RAM
GTX 970

Thanks!

Hi...

I'm not experiencing the same issues in iClone 7.73.

A few things to check.

Try starting a new project with just a single character and a short 15 to 30 seconds voice track. Does the same issue occur or is responsiveness better?

Make sure you close down all other open applications. Does this make responsiveness better?

Try opening Task Manager by right clicking the Task Bar. Now switch to the Performance tab and check for high activity in CPU, GPU, Memory and Disk Activity. Any high levels could cause slowdown in iClone.

Hi Peter. All other applications are closed and my system is hardly taxed at all. I’m having this problem cutting and pasting any frames regardless of whether they’re Visemes, puppet clips, or motion clips. To paste something takes between 20 and 40 seconds. My screen will even get light and state that IClone 7 isn’t responding and asks if I want to wait for the program or quit. I’ve attached a few screen shots.

The problem seems to be the Viseme track. If I delete it, the responsiveness is much better. It’s the difference between a couple of seconds and 40 seconds. Is there a fix for this? I’m combining some visemes with motion capture, so I have an expression track and a viseme track.
