Hi...

Can you share more details about your workflow.

For example are you exporting from iClone 7 or Character Creator 3?

Also, can you post a screenshot of your export settings and perhaps share the .iMotionPlus file that causes the crash. Thanks.

Hello
I have made a simple animation in iclone 7.7.
Its Just an avatar walking and talking.
But when i insert the text script(visemes for lip sync and voice) i cant export in fbx.
I want to use it in cinema 4d but export always fails.

I tried without the visemes and voice and export fbx is OK.
I dont know why i cant export. I thought that maybe to Just create only the mouth moving without the voice but i cant do that.
Could you help Please

Thanks for explaining more about the problem.

I just tried exporting an animated talking character from iClone 7.73 with the Cinema 4D R19 preset and this exported fine.

Can you post a screenshot of your FBX export settings and the error message you get. And if you would like to send a download link for your iClone project we can take a look at it to see what the problem is. If you don't want to post it publicly you can send me the link via personal message. Thanks.

Do also ensure you have iClone 7 fully updated to the latest version which is 7.73.

Thanks for posting the screenshots.

Using the same export settings as you, I again didn't have a problem exporting so the issue appears to be project based.

Try running some different export tests to see if you are able to export correctly. For example, try exporting the character with a voice script but no other animation. Also try exporting the project with one of the default iClone 7 characters to see if that makes a difference. This should help narrow down the cause of the problem.

I had a similar issue. I had a simple test animation, walking and talking.
When I added "Viseme" LipSync with a WAV file for audio, I could not export. (Getting "FBX Export Failed" error).
When I removed the "Viseme" Track, I could export the animation succesfully.
Also, if I used the "Create Script -> TTS" option, I could export successfully.

However, I needed to have the character with LipSync Animation, Synced to a specific Audio Recording.

I finally was able to get the Full animation to export, (with Viseme animation), by - Converting the "Audio File" From a ".wav" format file, to an ".mp3" format file.
THEN when I did the "Create Script -> Audio File -> and used the ".MP3" Audio File to create the Viseme animation, I was able to export successfully.

So if anyone else is getting this error, try converting your Audio File from ".wav" to ".mp3", then re-do your Viseme Animation using the ".mp3" audio file.
This allowed me to export the Full Animation, with Viseme LipSync Animation, successfully, without getting the "FBX Export Failed" error   :)

@nateordie: For .WAV make sure that the file is 16-bits @48 kHz maximum. iClone will not accept higher bit depths and/or sample rates.
