Walt_R (11/4/2019) Did you receive any feedback as to why your videos weren’t accepted? No, I simply got no response at all, so i thought something might have gone wrong. I re-submitted both a few days ago and added the question "any particular reason why not accepted?" in the "optional comments" box. No reply so far... Walt_R (11/4/2019) Perhaps someone from Reallusion can answer the following questions: How does one get a Director’s Certificate now? The previous process was you submitted to Reallusion TV and waited a couple days to several weeks to receive an acceptance. After acceptance, you were sent a Director’s Certificate link (to print) by email and your video was published on Reallusion TV. Now must a video be accepted for the $100 to get a Director’s Certificate? And throughout the year, how many videos will be accepted for the $100, one a month, 12 a month, 120 a month? And any idea why the link is "twitchy" on the Reallusion TV Submission page? As all my videos were accepted so far, and all went fast as you say; submit and get an e-mail with certificate a few days later, I also would like to know what has changed in RL-TV policy...

I did submit something 3 months ago. A month later I got this:
Thank you for your submission. We appreciate your efforts to create and submit this project /video, but we are afraid that it does not fit well with the type of project that we looking for in the gallery section for ReallusionTV. For better information on the type of content that we wish to showcase, please refer to the other videos we have on display. Much appreciation for your work, and we wish to see your new content in the future!
Excuse me? That much for the policy? You want me to create something based upon what I see on RL TV?? Not to mention the quality of my work was way higher than some of those recently accepted (though it is sure subjective).
I did not even know Reallusion TV exists up until a few months ago, when I noticed an unusual traffic in YouTube analytics (apparently they picked and submitted one of my work on they own). Now that video was taken down as well, probably at the same time.. lol
I doubt I will ever be submitting anything else.
But good luck to you guys, hope your work be accepted eventually :)

4u2ges (11/10/2019) hank you for your submission. This indeed bizarre to put it mildly and beyond vague. From the Certification page: A RCD is a person who is skilled with Reallusion products and able to produce iClone/CrazyTalk videos in good quality.
If that is satisfied, the video should be accepted. It should not be based on some RL staff vagaries... Sorry, but I have to rant here.

But good luck to you guys, hope your work be accepted eventually :) 4u2ges, Thank you for the wish of good luck. I’m sorry to hear your video was turned down by Reallusion TV. I’m sure that was both upsetting and disappointing. For us who have recently submitted or who will submit in the future it seems we will be exploring undiscovered country.

This is not my department but as you have found reasons for not accepting a video are not currently supplied. However I have passed on all your comments about this which will be reviewed. Hopefully we can try and improve the service and give more feedback in the future.

For better information on the type of content that we wish to showcase, please refer to the other videos we have on display. Much appreciation for your work, and we wish to see your new content in the future! I submitted three (3) moviews of mine a couple of months ago and a month later I got this email: After evaluating your entry, our team of judges did not approve it due to not meeting our showcase quality standards. The quality of facial animation can be improved, and include some unsuitable footage. To help, we would like to provide you with some very useful tutorials that we think can better support iClone animators - http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/iclone_training.aspx.
Not only wasn't it specified which movie had been refused (I guess it was "Prying eyes" since they also told me the content was "unsuitable" and this movie happens to be situated in a strip-club), but their "team of judges" told me my facial animation was lacking and, not only that, but they referred me to the tutorials on their website; it didn't come to their minds that I watched those tutorials over and over again and that, maybe, my facial animation was deliberately suited to the purposed of the film. They have the right not to like my facial animation, but to recomment me to watch some tutorials is... well, pretty insulting. As for the question of moral "unsuitability", strip-clubs are, unfortunately, a fact of life. There is no nudity in my movie and they let me publish it on the forums. If it's good enough for the forums, why isn't it good enough for the contest? It seems to me that the one who writes the emails lacks some kind of orientation, to say the least. I'm not sure if I'll ever enter this contest again.

It's instructive in this context to see what is deemed "acceptable", by going to Reallusion TV. If technical perfection is the norm, then there are flaws that slip through... All we can say is that it was nice while it lasted...
