Okay, I KNOW I'm no Danny Elfman when it comes to singing (which I can't) but this was at least fun to do:

Great job, Kelleytoons!  I really enjoyed it.
It was very well done.
You might need to change your name to Gene Kelley Toons.  ;)

How many days (or weeks) did it take you to get it done?

Great Job Kelly! Loved it!
Voice was perfect for that character.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Total hours to create this was around six.  I can't take (much) credit for the animation -- it's all PN and Live Face captured direct into iClone, with very little post production work.  I edited the body motions twice -- once when he opens the gate, and the other when he removes his head (both times a tiny bit of adjustment in the hands).  So if you like the movements that's an old man acting (which I have been known to have some skills at, although in this day and age just moving around is an adventure).  I really think the mocap worked well due to the thinness of the character (as some of you might know, pro mocap artists capture with their arms away from their bodies because the arms often intersect.  I usually forget to do this but in this case it didn't matter.  Notice how in the very last scene I cross my arms over my chest?  I've never been able to do this without a LOT of editing and this time it was great out of the box due to that character being so thin).

The sets were all Daz, except for the last "forbidden forest', when I "planted" some Speedtrees in a clearing (the background is another Daz set that I thought I'd spend more time in but it didn't work out that way).  The avatar is a Daz figure, clothed in CC3 with a suit from Daz, and I edited it a bit (texture maps and removing the eyes) to get the look I wanted.

The things that took me the longest were some of the simplest, but it did take me about 30 minutes to create the head removal effect (another avatar and the right timing on textures and visibility).  Total time for all mocap (face and body) was around an hour -- I did two takes for each body movements, and three for the voice (I used the second take for all body movements, and the third for the voice but by that time my voice was giving out.  I had to use it because I forgot to record audio for the first take -- doh - and the second wasn't all that good).

It shows the power of iClone and the right tools.  I love this software.

Wow!  That makes your wonderful video even more impressive.  Let's just say you used those tools very well.

So if you like the movements that's an old man acting (which I have been known to have some skills at, although in this day and age just moving around is an adventure).

Funny.
