I just bought the conforming hair package for Iclone 7.2 I naively assumed it would work in 7.2, but instead I was required to reinstall CC 2.* So I did. Then Reallusion Installed the Conforming Hair into CC. How do I get the hair (a) from CC to Iclone 7, and then from Iclone actually ON TO my DAZ Imported Character? Or is this not possible? Thanks in advance. --Bex.

The DAZ Character was mported via 3DXchange. It is a Genesis 2 Base.

Not possible. A character which is imported via 3DX isn't a "standard" iClone OR CC character, and thus can't use any of the items created for those. Now, with hair it's *slightly* possible you could (assuming you have the export license for it) export as an OBJ and then bring into iClone via 3DX and place it *carefully* onto your character. Won't have physics or behave as hair but would at least fit. But the easy solution, as Vidi implies, is to bring in your Daz character using the Pipeline edition of CC3. Then it can use ALL the clothing, hair and accessories of CC (and by extension, iClone).

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately I am forced to use Iclone 7.2 -- the toon-shader is a disaster in versions after 7.2 and I'm no longer in waiting for Reallusion to fix it.
The only reason I bought the hair in the first place (as opposed to using a Daz product) was to save me the hassle of trying to set up the physics (maps etc.).
So, back to square one.
Thanks any way!

CC hair can also be applied to a non-standard character in iClone.
Load the hair on a character in CC. Send that character to iClone. Save the hair in your content manager. Load your non-standard character. With the character selected, double-click the hair to add it. It will not be conforming on anon-standard, but hair is so easy to adjust to fit with the gizmo if needed.

Will the CC3 avatars not work in 7.2? I don't know -- haven't used that version in so long I have no idea, really. But you'd think they would.

Thanks for the reply, Rampa! In fact, I tried this first -- got an "only g1-g5 characters can swap body parts. CC characters, non-standard, and non-human do not support this feature." window. --Bex.
